Mods
Mod Bitchy
Mod Bitchy has been in an out of fandom since the mid 1990's when she first started participating in discussions about Sailor Moon on old password protected forums. She is a die-hard EraserJoke fan and loves Ms. Joke almost as much as her own kids. Her favorite kinds of bad jokes are puns and they always make her cackle.
Mod Kami
Mod Kami has been in zine hell and fandom for two years. Kami is a multifandom, multishipper with a passion for rare pairs. Eraserjoke was the first ship Kami wrote when coming into the BNHA fandom. Her favorite kinds of jokes are rooted in dry humor and sarcasm.

Application Guidelines
It's no Joke! We will be opening applications for artists and writers April 1. Please take time to look over the things we are looking for with each of the applications below. Make sure that any files submitted through Google Drive are set to share. Please make sure that any links you submit work. Examples submitted can be NSFW but MUST be tagged appropriately, although there will be no NSFW allowed in the project.
Artist
You will need to provide three examples of what you would consider to be your best work. This zine will have full backgrounds, so please choose at least one piece that has representative work with a full colored background. One of your pieces should also feature Aizawa and/or Fukukado though more is appreciated.
Please include relevant content warnings and trigger warnings for submissions.
We are looking for the following things in your examples:
Basic understanding of human anatomy
Compositional knowledge
Color theory
Attention to detail
A recognizable and personal style
Writer
You will need to provide 2-3 examples of what you consider your best work. We want to see at least one piece featuring EraserJoke. Please keep in mind that characterization and showcasing the relationship is priority so your portfolio should reflect that. Total word count for all pieces should not exceed 5k words. If you have excerpts of longer works you would like to use, that is acceptable with a link to the original work and a doc with the excerpt. You will also be asked to link your Ao3 or FF.net or Twitter threads and be asked for a pitch so we can see what kinds of ideas you are considering writing.
Please include relevant content warnings and trigger warnings for submissions.
We are looking for the following things in your examples:
Believable characterizations
Basic understanding of English grammar and spelling
Realistic dialog and character interaction
Ability to tell story in a given word count
Descriptive language
Creativity
FAQ
What is a zine?
A zine is a self published booklet. This zine specifically is a fan made publication about Eraserhead and Ms. Joke. This zine will be free and published digitally only. Content will include fanart, fanfics and the possibility of comics, depending on contributor wishes.
What is the zine rating?
PG13, this is an SFW zine.
How will I know if I get picked as a contributor?
Mods will be sending out e-mails to the account on your contributor application in mid-May. Keep your eyes on Twitter for an announcement that e-mails have been sent.
Do I have to have a beta?
Please try to secure a beta. Mod Bitchy will read before final drafts are approved.
Is there an age limit for the people who can participate?
The minimum age we will accept for a contributor is 16 years old.
Can I be an artist AND a writer? Or do I have to pick only one?
You are of course welcome to apply as a writer and as an artist! Although we can not guarantee that if we ask you to be a writer you will also be asked to create art for the zine and vice versa.
Will you be allowing multi shippers to join?
Multi shippers are more than welcome to participate! In fact, the current mods are multi-shippers. As long as the content of the piece that is created for the zine is EraserJoke centric, we have no problem with allowing anyone who is enthusiastic about the ship to participate!
Will there be guests?
Yes. We have asked two people to be guest artists and will be announcing them soon!
How do we sign up to join the zine?
Contributor applications will open in April! You will be able to find information on what we are looking for in applications as well as the link to the application once it is open on our Twitter.
Do contributor applicants have to have previous zine experience?
Not at all! We want people who are passionate about EraserJoke as well as someone who has talent and is dedicated to making this project the best it can be!
How many of each contributor are you wanting to accept?
Mods have vague numbers we are anticipating asking for, but will assess once the interest check closes.
Do you need mods? If so what are the requirements for becoming a mod?
Right now we are not looking for any additional mods on this project.
Is the zine focused on canon-compliant or are AUs acceptable?
This project is slated to be canon-compliant/canon divergent. Mods may approve certain AUs for contributors on a case by case basis, as long as they are rooted in canon (for instance, High School AU).
Will you allow collabs?
Mods prefer and encourage collaboration as long as the constraints of the project allow for it.
Whats the theme?
The actual theme of the zine is relationship dynamics between Eraser and Joke. Pieces can revolve around fluff, joking, parenting, teaching, hero work or any number of other situations where the two interact.
